Ag Veterinarian to teach courses on Foot-and-mouth and Mad Cow Disease
BOISE, Idaho - Idaho State Department of Agriculture Veterinarian Dr. Phil
Mamer will be teaching a community education class Coming to Idaho?
Foot-and-Mouth Disease (titled Hoof-and-Mouth in Community Ed catalog), May
2. He will then teach a class Coming to Idaho? Mad Cow Disease, May 9. Both
classes are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillside Jr. High in Boise.
Mamer has gathered research from international sources including the U.S.
Department of Agriculture, economists and animal health professionals to
give insight into what is going on behind the headlines of these horrible
animal diseases.
The courses are available to the public through Boise Schools Community
Education Program. The cost for the single-session course is $3.55. For
