Washington: Now Hiring for Special Assistant to the Director

The Washington State Department of Agriculture is hiring for the position of Special Assistant to the Director. As the Specialist Assistant to the Director, this position provides leadership for the agency in addressing high level agricultural issues.  This includes working directly with the director's leadership team and members of the policy and communications teams; representing the agency with the Governor's Office, state legislature, other agencies, and key external stakeholders; and providing high level capacity for the director on solving of specific critical issues needing his attention.

This position's focus is to strengthen and deepen connections and relationships in the agricultural community in support of agriculture's key role in Washington's economic vitality.  This position plays a key role in fostering a collaborative environment with agricultural communities and stakeholder interests, while supporting agency goals and objectives.

This positon will advise the Director and agency leadership on meeting the objectives and performance measures of Results Washington goals.

This position reports to the Director of Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) and is located in the Natural Resources building in Olympia, Washington.
