EPA released a proposed information collection request (ICR) earlier this month that estimates the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Pesticides General Permit will require over one million hours and more than $50 million per year for permittees and permitting authorizes to meet the record keeping and reporting requirements of the new permit. EPA says the ICR estimates on the NPDES permit are open to public comment for 60 days after publication in the Federal Registrar to allow evaluation of the accuracy of its information. The revised estimates will be released early 2011. (By: Amos Welder, Contact: Nathan Bowen)
