Nutrition & Food Assistance

NASDA continues to advocate for policies that will meet the simple need to grow and distribute food and will promote the vital role of agriculture in feeding a more populous and more competitive world. We look to innovative solutions, including advances in science and biotechnology, to ensure that American farmers and modern agriculture can continue to efficiently and safely feed the world.

NASDA works to ensure sufficient funding to programs that provide safe, affordable and nutritious food to Americans as well as to impoverished areas of the world.

NASDA strongly supports food and nutrition assistance programs such as the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Seniors Farmers Markets Programs; Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); School Meals and the Summer Food Service Programs. We believe that providing humanitarian assistance in the form of food is important worldwide and should continue to be supported.
