Alaska Division of Agriculture, Department of Natural Resources

Alaska is the place where we still have true pioneers. We have generations of farmers who are still clearing virgin ground for crop production. Characterized commonly as the land of ice and snow, Alaska is also the land of some of the most pristine food products in the world. Think of it. Most of the pests that bother the rest of the world simply freeze out up here! Our midnight sun produces sucrose and antioxidant levels in our vegetables and berries that are exquisite. I hope you have a chance to try our state and experience our agriculture first-hand.
