Nathan Bowen is Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Manager at the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, representing the commissioners, secretaries and directors of the state departments of agriculture in all fifty states and four U.S. territories. He is responsible for managing the Association’s activities related to environment, conservation, resource management, and pesticide policy.

Previously, Bowen served as Legislative Assistant to a member of the United States House of Representatives and managed a policy portfolio that included agriculture, environment, energy, trade, and financial services policy. Bowen's experience in national agriculture policy has included extensive work as the primary advisor to a Member of the 2008 Farm Bill Conference Committee. Bowen also worked extensively on public lands and energy legislation, as well as on matters relating to banking and financial markets.

Bowen received his degree in Government from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. He is a native of southeastern Colorado where his family owns a cattle ranch.
