EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson will testify Thursday afternoon in a Senate Agriculture Committee hearing that will examine the impact of EPA regulation on agriculture. Rich Hillman of the Arkansas Farm Bureau; Jay Vroom of Croplife America and Jere White of the Kansas Corn Growers Association will also testify. Likely topics for the hearing include EPA's NPDES permit for pesticides and draft spray drift regulations, as well as the agency's controversial review of atrazine and significant new restrictions on pesticide use in the Pacific Northwest stemming from the Endangered Species Act.
