2013 WASDA Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the Western Association of State Departments of Agriculture. States including Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming. WASDA's current President is Franci Havemeister, Director, Alaska Division of Agriculture.

One of the West’s most important regional agricultural conferences will be held in Anchorage, Alaska July 28th – August 1, 2013. As President of Western Association of State Departments of Agriculture (WASDA), I am honored to host the 2013 annual conference in the Land of the Midnight Sun at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage Alaska.

This meeting brings leaders of state and provincial departments of agriculture representing the 13 western states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming), American Samoa, Guam, our Canadian affiliates of Alberta and British Columbia and other United States Department of Agriculture dignitaries and staff together to discuss agricultural policy issues important to the region and country. It also provides an excellent opportunity to showcase Alaska’s beauty and its abundant natural resources.I look forward to hosting the 2013 WASDA summer conference and encourage you to attend.

    2013 WASDA Annual Meeting Hotel Reservations

    For accomodations at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage please follow this link to book your hotel package online, or call ALASKA TOURS at 907-272-8687 and refer to the WASDA 2013 Hotel Package.

    Please note: there two potential start dates (the 27th and the 28th). You will find two separate packages available for purchase, one for each start date. Packages do not include meeting registration.

    Alaska Tours Cancellation Policy:
    Individual cancellations between 60 and 30 days from the first day of services will incur a $50 per room cancellation penalty, plus any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers.

    Individual cancellations within 30 days prior to the first day of services are non-refundable.
