President Obama last week named Sally Jewell, Chief Executive officer of Recreational Equipment Inc., to head the Interior Department. Jewell has headed outdoor retailer REI since 2005, and previously served as a commercial banker. If confirmed, Jewell will take over for outgoing Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
