USDA DELAYS IMPLEMENTATION OF RULE TO STREAMLINE LOAN PROGRAMS
News Date June 03, 2009
Last week, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that it is further delaying the implementation of an interim rule that would establish a unified guaranteed loan process for four Rural Development guaranteed loan programs.
Implementation of the interim rule is now delayed until October 1, 2009, which is the fourth time it has been pushed back since its establishment last December. The programs which would be modified by the interim rule include: Community Facility, Water and Waste Disposal, Business and Industry, and Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvement Projects.
