OBAMA NOMINATES HAGEN AS AG UNDERSECRETARY FOR FOOD SAFETY

President Obama has nominated Elisabeth Hagen as the Agriculture Department’s undersecretary for food safety, an office that has been vacant since the start of the administration. As the USDA chief medical officer, Hagen currently serves as an adviser to the department on human health.
