2010 NATIONAL PORK PRODUCERS DELEGATE BODY APPOINTED
News Date February 02, 2010
Last week, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack appointed the 2010 National Pork Producers Delegate Body, a collection of pork producers and importers from around the nation. Originally established under the Pork Promotion, Research, and Consumer Information Act of 1985, the appointees, who serve a one-year term, are responsible for recommending annual rate of assessments, determining the percentage of assessments that state associations will receive, as well as nominate producers and importers for the National Pork Board.
