SPRAY DRIFT COMMENTS DUE FRIDAY

Comments of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Draft Guidance for Pesticide Registrants on Pesticide Drift Labeling are due Friday, March 5. EPA’s proposal includes language instructing users of a pesticide to “not apply this product in a manner that results in spray [or dust] drift that could cause an adverse effect to people or any other non-target organism.” Many agriculture organizations have expressed concerns about aspects of the proposal, including the ramifications of including vague language such as “could cause” on pesticide labels.
