Dear Ms. Sutton:

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is pleased to support the nomination of Dr. Stephen Crawford, State Veterinarian & Director for the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets & Food (CDFA) Division of Animal Industry, to serve on the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Animal Health (SACAH).

NASDA represents the Commissioners, Secretaries, and Directors of the state departments of agriculture in all fifty states and four U.S. territories.  One of the highest priorities for the state departments of agriculture is to support strategies, policies, and programs that prevent, control, or eradicate animal diseases.

Including Dr. Crawford on the SACAH will ensure the important and diverse perspectives of state regulatory partners and state animal health officials will be incorporated into the SACAH’s recommendations. We are supporting Dr. Crawford’s nomination on the SACAH.

NASDA appreciates your consideration of our recommendation.  Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional information.

Sincerely,

Barbara P. Glenn, Ph.D.
