The Honorable Darryl Little

Arkansas State Plant Board
Darryl Little has worked in various capacities since coming
to the Plant Board in 1978. Beginning as a field inspector in the Stuttgart
area then progressing to positions of increasing responsibility such as the
manager of the Survey and Quarantine Section and director of the Plant Industry
Division. In 1987, he was promoted to assistant agency director working under
Director Gerald King. Mr. Little brings with him to the directorship an exemplary
and diverse background of experience, interest, and education, which complement
the diverse responsibilities of the Plant Board. An experienced administrator
with a keen knowledge of plant science and agricultural practices, Mr. Little
has long been a driving force within the agency and as a participant in many
state, local, and national organizations.
A lifelong resident of the state, Mr. Little grew up in the rural Perry County
community of Aplin and now makes his home in Faulkner County with his wife
Teresa, his daughter Hollie, and his two sons, Zachary and Coleman.
