The Honorable Britt Cobb

Britt Cobb was born and reared on a tobacco farm in Elm City. He graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1971, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He did post graduate work in International Marketing at the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, Ariz.
Cobb, 53, began working in the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in 1972, and served as the first director of agriculture in North Carolina's European Office in Dusseldorf, West Germany. He previously served as assistant director of marketing and had been in charge of the International Marketing program for NCDA&CS.
Cobb organized and participated in trade activities in 60 countries around
the world and serves on numerous boards and committees on international marketing
and trade. He is past president of the N.C.
World Trade Association and chairman of the Southern
U.S. Trade Association Marketing Committee .
Cobb and his wife, Ann, live in Raleigh.
