The NASS Eastern Mountain Regional Field Office held a productive and successful Supervisory Workshop with the Kentucky NASDA Supervisors on January 28, 2014 in Louisville, Kentucky. The Eastern Mountain Region also serves North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The five NASDA Field Supervisors who attended the workshop were Eugene Devine, Boyce Gregory, Susan Campbell, Wendy Watters, and Tim Coomer. The NASS team participating in the workshop included Eastern Mountain Regional Director Dave Knopf, Deputy Director Barry Adams, Ag Statisticians Kimberly McDaniel and Eric Stout. NASDA’s NASS Program Director Charlie Ingram also participated in the workshop.
Some of the topics addressed during the workshop included: NASS regional structure, communications, policies and procedures. Participants also discussed upcoming surveys, response rates, enumerator training, and data collection using iPads. Charlie Ingram discussed NASDA activities, including website resources and electronic timesheets. The interactive workshop was a great opportunity for the NASDA Supervisors, NASS Regional Field Office staff and NASDA’s Charlie Ingram to strengthen their team approach to management and review enumerator activities.
