2014 Southern Plains Region Supervisor Workshop

The NASS Southern Plains Regional Field Office (SPRFO) held a successful NASDA Supervisory Enumerator Workshop on November 18-19, 2014 at the Comfort Suites in Grapevine, Texas. This 1 ½ day training was the first workshop that brought together all the Field Supervisors in the region. The first day topics at the workshop included NASDA supervisor’s role, hiring new enumerators, personnel and human resources, payroll and timesheets, electronic data collection, and respondent relations. Second day topics included a refresher on surveys conducted in the region, Austin office procedures, upcoming surveys, and a lively discussion of suggestions that the supervisors had for each other and the office staff.

There were 10 NASDA Field Supervisors from Texas and 5 from Oklahoma who participated in the workshop. The SPRFO participants included: Doug Rundle, Director; Joel Moore and Quentin Hart, Deputy Directors; Wil Hundl, OK State Statistician; Suzette Qualey, TX NASDA Coordinator; Carla Whitt, OK NASDA Coordinator; Trent Wickwire, Survey Coordination Group Leader; and Allyson Torres, Budget and Administrative Technician. NASDA’s NASS Program Director, Charlie Ingram, also attended the workshop.
