Amanda grew up in Gainesville, Texas and is a 2010 graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Forestry and 2013 graduate of the University of Maryland with an M.P.S. in Geographic Information Science. Amanda started with NASDA as an intern in January 2011 and become a part of the staff team in February 2012. Amanda is responsible for managing NASDA's website, social media, newsletters, and all press interactions. Amanda also leads NASDA's engagement on domestic marketing, specialty crops, labeling, and nutrition policy issues.
Amanda previously interned in the office of United States Representative Bob Gibbs of Ohio and in the office of Community & Economic Development for the City of Hyattsville, Maryland.
Amanda works remotely for NASDA while living in Boise, Idaho with her husband, Josh, certified therapy dog, Townsend, and cat, Ryder.
