Biography

Carla Soto joined NASDA in June 2023. In this role, she will be leading and coordinating programs including NASDA’s Next Generation, Ag Policy Summit and Farm2Food Accelerator. She will also author and coordinate newsletters, social media posts and press releases and will communicate with NASDA members and state agriculture departments staff. Carla earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture education and communication with a minor in leadership from the University of Florida. Carla has great experience from various roles and internships while being a member of MANRRS and the Dominican Student Association. Carla was a collegiate basketball player and team captain for Santa Fe College. Carla is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and enjoys CrossFit and cooking during her free time.
