Biography

Maria Martinez joined NASDA as the Foundation Coordinator in May 2021. She came to NASDA after serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Georgia, government affairs intern for both Kansas Corn and Yum! Brands Co., and a professional conference facilitator with the National FFA Organization. Maria earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Kansas State University in 2019 and a master’s degree in agriculture and environmental education with an emphasis in agricultural communication from the University of Georgia in 2021. Maria was born and raised in Queens, New York. In her free time, she enjoys baking for her loved ones, spending time with her two dogs, Georgia and Texas, and hanging out with her “Little Sister” Helen, with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
