The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (“NASDA”) will not sell, rent, swap, or otherwise disclose to any third party any information provided during your use of the NASDA web site , except with your permission, or as explicitly provided below. In addition, we do not include on our site any functionality allowing third parties to perform "reverse searches" to identify individuals from e-mail addresses. We do evaluate site usage by analyzing user information in the aggregate, only in a way that does not identify any individual user. We also track the types of searches that users are performing, but such information is only used in the aggregate and in a way that does not identify any individual user. All data available through the NASDA site is provided to NASDA from each individual state under Open Records Act requests made under the appropriate state law.
All data available through the NASDA site is available directly from each individual state’s Department of Agriculture, although not necessarily online or at the same fees. The fees charged to users by NASDA for data provided through this site are not a charge for the data, but rather a reimbursement to NASDA for the time and materials expended in fulfilling requests from users, which are considered Open Records Act requests. In order to use some functions, you will need to provide NASDA with a username and password. During your use of these functions, we do not use tracking software, except during the login process, and such use then is merely as a convenience to you, so that you can avoid having to enter your username and password on every screen. This tracking mechanism is temporary and disappears when you exit your browser. We do not search your hard drive for any other information that may be of benefit to us or third parties. All credit card numbers and sales data requested will be transmitted and maintained securely. While we strive to protect your personal or company information by encryption and other means, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of the information you transmit to us, and if you choose to use the NASDA site, you do so at your own risk. We may disclose information about you or your company if we have a good faith belief that we are required to do so by law or legal process, to respond to claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of NASDA or others.
