The State of Connecticut, Department of Agriculture (DoAg), Bureau of Regulatory Services, is now accepting applications for an anticipated Agriculture Bureau Director opportunity. This roll will be accountable for performing a full range of tasks, as directed by the Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture or other administrative officials of a higher grade, related to planning, organizing, directing, and controlling bureau programs and staff. Time will be devoted to critical programs which monitor and protect the health and safety of agriculture products, businesses, and domestic animals. The position will lead the Bureau of Regulatory Services in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling bureau programs and staff. The Bureau of Regulatory Services consists of over thirty employees and the following separate units: the Agricultural Commodities & Food Safety Unit; the Animal Health (Livestock) Unit; the Dairy Unit; the State Animal Control Unit; and the Licensing & Animal Population Control Program Unit.
