The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry is seeking applications for a state veterinarian. This position serves as the chief veterinarian in the state with a role of protecting animal health and human public health, primarily through prevention of the spread of animal diseases and those contagious to humans (zoonotic diseases).  They oversee and direct several dynamic poultry, livestock, and other animal disease management programs, with an emphasis on agricultural sector impact.
