The Food Inspection Bureau of the Montana Department of Livestock is currently hiring a Manager of Food Inspection.
This critical leadership position serves as the Food Inspection Bureau Chief and works closely with agency senior managers to maintain a high level of transparency, accountability and achievement in the varied field and office operations. Well qualified candidates will hold a degree in veterinary medicine, master’s degree in public health or bachelor’s degree in microbiology with sanitarian licensure.
The position is responsible for planning, developing, and administering the statewide Food Inspection program to provide consumers with a wholesome, unadulterated product that is properly labeled and safe and to ensure the program complies with state and federal regulations and Board objectives, directing and overseeing the administrative unit, the audit unit, and the inspection unit.
