Mark Your Calendars: Webinar to Highlight Need for Global Alignment on Crop Protection Regulations
The Crop Protection Action Coalition for Trade is partnering with Agri-Pulse Communications to host a webinar on January 19, 2023 at 1:00 PM Eastern. The event will focus on the need for access to agricultural technologies, including crop protection products, to increase productivity as we strive to sustainably feed a growing world population. Panelists will address how disparate global crop protections standards disrupt trade, exacerbate food insecurity and restrict farmers’ ability to grow and export safe, high-quality food.
Confirmed panelists include Sabina Neumann, Senior Trade Advisor for USDA Foreign Agricultural Service; Paula de Vera, Senior Policy Advisory for Copa-Cogeca in Europe; Luis Osorio, Executive Director of PROCCYT in Mexico; and Ted McKinney, CEO of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture. The webinar will also feature farmer voices sharing their perspectives on the impact that varied crop protection standards have on their ability to grow and trade.
We invite you to join the discussion as these high-level speakers address the critical need for global regulators to rely on science-based standards to harmonize regulations—including Maximum Residue Levels–so together we can enable free trade and help meet the world’s food needs.
