The Center will continue expanding its resource hub to support producers and food business leaders
in accessing external funding opportunities.
This program supports independently owned meat and poultry processing businesses with funds to provide more and better processing options for local livestock producers by modernizing, increasing, diversifying and decentralizing meat and poultry processing capacity, including support for rendering.
This program is designed to provide technical assistance and training for small rural businesses. “Small” is defined as businesses with fewer than 50 new workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue.
The Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program provides grants to organizations for education, mentoring and technical assistance initiatives for beginning farmers and ranchers.
The Healthy Food Financing Initiative provides loans, grants, and technical assistance resources to improve and support access to fresh, healthy, affordable food in urban and rural underserved communities.
The Local Agriculture Market Program supports the development, coordination, and expansion of direct producer-to-consumer marketing; local and regional food markets and enterprises; and value-added agricultural products.
The Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities opportunity provides technical and financial assistance to producers to implement climate-smart production practices.
