China Launches Sorghum Antidumping Investigation

China’s Ministry of Commerce announced it is investigating if U.S. sorghum was being exported to China at inadequately low prices. The Ministry of Commerce launched the probe of U.S. sorghum after concluding large volumes and falling prices hurt Chinese producers. Within the past two weeks, the White House announced they would raise tariffs on Chinese-made washing machines and solar equipment while investigating steel imports and technology policy; however, the ministry claims there is no correlation between these events.
