Agriculture is an integral aspect of Texas life. The cowboy comes to mind when recalling Texas, which is fitting, as Texas is the top ranked state for cattle and calf production. Texas also ranks 1st in cotton, sheep and goats, wool and mohair, hay production and total livestock production.
