Alex Noffsinger is a recent graduate from Michigan State University's James Madison College where he studied Social Relations and Policy, minoring in Science, Technology, and Environmental Public Policy. In-between his sophomore and junior years at Michigan State, Alex participated in the Demmer Scholar Program, in which he interned for the U.S. Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee's Minority Staff. Having enjoyed his experience interning in Washington D.C., Alex decided to return this summer in the role of NASDA's Policy Intern. Within this role Alex assisted members of NASDA's policy team by writing memos on Congressional hearings, researching and crafting policy briefs, and sitting in on meetings at the EPA and USDA. Alex is from Stockbridge, Michigan, a small town forty minutes south of Lansing.
