The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is seeking candidates for the Chief Legal Counsel I position in Pulaski County/Little Rock.

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, be licensed as an Attorney in the State of Arkansas, and possess at least five years of experience in legal hearings, regulatory compliance, government contracts, or related fields. The role requires strong knowledge of state and federal laws, with expertise in contract law, administrative law, compliance, litigation, and ethics. The department is seeking candidates who will demonstrate strategic thinking, sound legal judgment, and the ability to clearly communicate complex legal issues to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are preferred.
