Biography

Becky Garrison Warfel joined NASDA in September 2023. In her role as director of public policy, she leads policy efforts on nutrition, food systems and food safety. Becky previously served as director of domestic marketing for the USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council and the American Pulse Association, where she developed impactful programs, championing nutrition access and food security through innovative collaborations, federal policy and behavior-focused strategies. Becky earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics and is working to complete her master’s degree in public administration from the University of Idaho. Becky is a licensed and registered dietitian and is endlessly passionate about the cross-section of agriculture, nutrition and delicious food. Becky is from Moscow, Idaho and she enjoys cooking new recipes, whitewater kayaking and sprinter van camping with her husband and their dog named Cowboy in her free time.
