Biography

Jill Bishop serves as one of the Director of the NASS Programs at the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), joining the organization in September 2026. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for human resources and agricultural survey data collection operations across assigned geographic regions. She directly oversees and mentors four Associate Directors who manage regional workflows, partnering closely with senior leadership to execute national program strategies that seamlessly align with NASDA and USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) data integrity goals.

Prior to joining NASDA, Jill capped a distinguished career in federal service, recently retiring as the Regional Deputy Director for the USDA/National Agricultural Statistics Service Delta Regional Office. In this critical leadership position, she co-managed comprehensive statistical operations, large-scale data collection efforts, and regional administration.

Jill earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Southern University and A&M College. A native of Louisiana, she enjoys spending her free time reading and spoiling her grandchildren.
