Biography

Kayla Richards joined NASDA in August 2026. In her role as associate director of producer engagement, she will lead a multi-state producer engagement program to strengthen partnerships, increase participation and response rate for NASS surveys, while building stakeholder relationships. She came to NASDA from Ohio Farm Bureau where she served as a membership & industry engagement specialist, as well as a district director. In her roles she managed outreach and engagement opportunities that helped drive relationship and partnerships to support the organizations’ membership. As a district director, she managed an 8-county region where she oversaw programming, policy development, membership, strategic partnerships, and leadership development of her team, boards and volunteers.  Additionally, she worked for the Center for Integrated Food Technology (CIFT) as an industry relations and business development specialist. She worked closely with Ohio`s food processors and manufactures to identify challenges and elevate solutions to help businesses scale, thrive, and compete. Kayla earned a Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University in 2011.  Kayla is from Bowling Green, Ohio and enjoys watching her kids compete in their 4-H, FFA, and athletic activities.
