Biography

Lauren Zajicek joined NASDA in March 2022. In her role as associate director of communications, she facilitates strategic public engagement including developing NASDA’s brand through planning social media content, directing website changes and implementing graphic design, event branding and newsletter needs. She came to NASDA from Texas A&M University, where she served as an administrative coordinator at the Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs prior to serving as a program manager in the Department of Agricultural Economics. In these roles, she managed events and student projects, wrote and edited press releases and other publications, and developed and designed content for print and digital media. Lauren earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications and journalism and agricultural leadership and development in 2018 and a master’s degree in agricultural leadership, education and communications in 2022, both from Texas A&M University. Lauren is from Columbus, Texas, and enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and dogs in her free time.
