Biography
Megan joined the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture in October 2006 and currently serves as senior director of International Trade Programs. She oversees NASDA’s cooperative agreements with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, which includes organizing NASDA’s A Taste of the States pavilion at the National Restaurant Association’s trade show in Chicago and at the Americas Food & Beverage show in Miami, and NASDA’s Emerging Market Programs and Regional Agricultural Promotion Program trade missions all over the world. She leads efforts in promoting U.S. agriculture abroad and helping small- and medium-sized U.S. food and beverage companies expand export sales by gaining access to international markets.
Megan graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications and journalism. Megan was born and raised in Uvalde, Texas, where her family raised horses, cattle and hay. She participated in 4-H and FFA, showing various animals, and in FFA judging competitions. Megan lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband Michael and son, Malcolm.
