Biography

Roberto Sanchez joined NASDA in June 2025 as associate director of the NASS program. In this role, he will oversee data collection in the Southeast Midland Region, serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Prior to joining NASDA, Roberto served as a statistician in the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, working in California, Florida and in the Frames Maintenance Group. Roberto earned a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and a master’s degree in agricultural economics, both from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Roberto is from Yauco, Puerto Rico, and enjoys hiking and biking in his free time.
