What inspired you to pursue a career in agriculture, and what keeps you passionate about it today?
Agriculture has been part of my life for many years and I have always enjoyed working outdoors and caring for livestock. Staying involved in the farm and seeing how our work supports the community keeps me passionate.
What is the biggest challenge you've faced as a woman in farming, and how did you overcome it?
At times it can be difficult to be recognized for the work you do on the farm. I've overcome this by continuing to show up, work hard and prove my capabilities through experience.
Are you a first-generation farmer, or are you carrying on a family legacy?
Carrying on a family legacy.
What is one piece of advice you would give to the next generation of young women entering the agricultural field?
Be willing to work hard and stay committed to your goals.
What is the most rewarding part of your day-to-day life on the farm?
Watching crops grow and animals thrive because of the care we provide.
