Course Goals

October 6-9, 2025 | Burlington, VT

The Basic Inspector PIRT will be focused on fundamentals, including federal and state laws and rules; statutory authorities; the federal registration process and final labels; inspection and investigation protocols; maintaining positive relationships with the regulated community; laboratory considerations and coordination, and inspector resources.

Target Audience

State, Tribal and Territorial Pesticide inspectors operating under a cooperative agreement, generally with less than 5 years of experience.

Nominations & Participants

Nomination solicitation will occur through the PIRT listserv the week of July 7, 2025. Selections will be made by the PIRT team and planning group the week of July 18, 2025.

Travel & Lodging Information

  • State, Territory, and Tribal Participants
    • Lodging, flight, and ground transportation will be arranged and paid for by the PIRT team. There is no registration fee for State, Territory, and Tribal Participants.
  • EPA Participants
    • EPA Participants are responsible for reserving their own flights, lodging, and ground transportation. There is a registration fee for EPA participants.
