The Office of Policy, Planning and Research for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks a professional Policy Analyst with exceptional communication skills to research, analyze and interpret state and federal policies, regulations and laws concerning agriculture and consumer issues. The position will serve on the agency’s team that tracks and analyzes legislation during the General Assembly Session; assist with policy review and development concerning agriculture and consumer issues at the state level; review and analyze regulations and laws; serve as liaison to other agencies and the public concerning agriculture and consumer issues; assist with regulation development; and assist with responding to records requests pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.
