The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is seeking candidates for the Attorney II position in Pulaski County/Little Rock.

Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, be licensed as an Attorney in the State of Arkansas and have at least two years of experience practicing law. The position requires strong knowledge of Arkansas laws, administrative regulations and judicial procedures, as well as advanced legal research skills using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. Applicants should be skilled in drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing litigation and dispute resolution, and developing effective legal strategies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and a commitment to advocating for the agency while achieving fair outcomes are strongly preferred. Preferred qualifications include experience in municipal finance and public construction, knowledge of agriculture and environmental law, familiarity with the Arkansas Administrative Procedure Act and Freedom of Information Act, and understanding of USDA conservation and grant programs, as well as the National Flood Insurance Program.
