Press Release –

Alexandria, Virginia, United States

Today, NASDA congratulates NASDA CEO Dr. Barb Glenn for being reappointed to the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

“Dr. Glenn brings more than 35 years of professional expertise and experience in agricultural policy, regulatory challenges and agricultural research. Given the state agriculture departments’ trade-related regulatory and promotion responsibilities and the agricultural diversity within NASDA’s membership, Dr. Glenn is well positioned to provide a comprehensive national policy perspective to the committee’s work,” NASDA President Dr. Ryan Quarles said.

All agricultural trade starts with states, and through Dr. Glenn’s appointment, states’ interest will continue to be represented on the committee.

“NASDA thanks U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue for continuing to recognize NASDA as an important and informed voice. NASDA members rely on our strong federal partnerships to promote states’ agricultural products and enhance export opportunities for agricultural and food producers.”
