The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture is pleased to announce Lauren Zajicek has been hired as Coordinator, Communications. In this role, Zajicek will assist in facilitating strategic public engagement including social media and website management, graphic design, event branding and promotion and newsletter development.

“I am excited to join NASDA and to have the opportunity to be a part of team that is passionate about agriculture,” Zajicek said. “I feel grateful to work with and learn from people who are experts at advancing the industry through policy, partnerships and public engagement.”

Zajicek came to NASDA from Texas A&M University, where she served as a staff member for four years. In May 2018, she earned her bachelor’s degree with a double major in agricultural communications and journalism and agricultural leadership and development. She is currently working toward her master’s degree in agricultural leadership, education and communications and is set to graduate in May 2022.
