ARLINGTON, Va. — Following the U.S. FDA’s announcement of Jim Jones as Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods, the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture CEO Ted McKinney released the following statement:

We look forward to seeing his leadership and depth of experience in administration, science and chemical safety contribute to meaningful impacts at FDA and create stronger food safety for all Americans. As co-regulators with FDA on food safety requirements, NASDA looks forward to working with Jones to collectively ensure the U.S. food supply remains the safest in the world.
