The mission of the West Virginia Conservation Agency (WVCA) is to provide for and promote the protection and conservation of West Virginia’s soil, land, water and related resources for the health, safety, and general welfare of the state’s citizens. WVCA is governed by the State Soil Conservation Committee (SCC). The Executive Director, under the authority of the SCC, leads WVCA and is responsible for the administration, policy development, legislative affairs, and multijurisdictional and multiagency partnerships to foster and support conservation efforts across West Virginia.
